GIFT CARD DRIVE
We utilize gift cards for shelter victims that are transitioning into new homes and lives. They always need the basics – gas cards, grocery stores, automotive repair shops are only a few suggestions.
Diapers, bottles, sippy cups, onesies – an infant uses it? We’ll take it! Please make sure all items are brand new.
Newborn to kids of all ages! We use toys as ice breakers when kids come into shelter so they aren’t as scared. We also like to make life as normal as possible so we use brand new donated toys for birthday’s and holiday’s.
DON’T FORGET OUR TEENS
It’s not only the victim traumatized by domestic violence, but the children as well, especially when coming into shelter. Many times personal belongings are left behind. We give toys to the younger one’s to make them feel comfortable and we always want our teens to feel welcome – head phones, electronics, gift cards to movies, fast food restaurants are some great ideas.
WISH LIST DRIVE

Pick any or all items on the shelter wish list and ask family, friends, co-workers to donate brand new items needed for domestic violence victims in shelter.
PAJAMMY JAMMY JAM DRIVE
Newborns to adult 3X, we like to give incoming shelter residents a brand new pair of PJ’s. Don’t forget we take children newborn to 17 years of age, males and females.
Residents are relearning many basic life skills – such as decision making. Safe Nest likes to stock the kitchen cupboards with LOTS of (healthy) food choices so residents can create their own meals and start their own family meal time. Baby formula, non-perishable food items (please check the expiration date if cleaning out your pantry) such as pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, soup, and other items you think they may enjoy.
