The First Response Process
Volunteer Requirements
Before you become a SafeNest volunteer, you’ll need to make sure you fit the following requirements:
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle/transportation
- Possess a smartphone
- Attend 8-hour DV Academy training and complete 3 ride-along shifts
- Commit to three 4-hour shifts per month
- Clean criminal history (complete a background check as part of DV Academy)
