PS417

Project Safe 417 (PS417) is a unique collaborative program between SafeNest, Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD), and the North Las Vegas Metro Police Department (NLVMPD). This partnership was formed to reduce domestic and sexual violence and homicides in the Las Vegas valley.

Upon receiving the initial crisis call (police code 417) LVMPD and NLVMPD alerts the 24/7 SafeNest hotline and requests PS417 first responder support. SafeNest’s first responder advocates are dispatched and report on scene with Metro officers where they provide support, safety planning, information about community resources, and legal options (Emergency Protective Orders) to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
