SafeNest client tells her story to national audience on MTV’s “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter”

Her survival story was so powerful it landed on television.

Ashley Jones, a domestic violence survivor and client of SafeNest, a nonprofit agency dedicated to ending domestic violence in Clark County, appeared with the organization in a two-episode arc of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” an MTV reality television series.

On the episodes, which aired May 15, and May 22, Jones met with a SafeNest advocate to talk through her options. She described how she benefited from the nonprofit’s resources, including  counseling, family and criminal court support, and crisis management.

Other national outlets, including People magazine, have also covered Jones’ story.

These nationally aired episodes raised critical awareness about domestic violence’s realities and the importance of compassionate, effective support for survivors. Jones’ story will reach millions of viewers, helping to destigmatize survivors’ experience and demonstrate how compassionate intervention looks.

Domestic Violence remains one of Clark County’s most reported violent crimes. In 2024, more than 65,000 calls to 911 centered on domestic violence, leading to more than 22,000 arrests, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Nevada Crime Stats data shows.
