Step 1
File an Emergency Temporary Protection Order (ETPO) with SafeNest at 702-646-4981.

Sign Up for VINELINK to be notified when abuser is released from custody (jail). FREE at VineLink.com or call 1-888-268-8463

Step 3
Call 911 if ETPO is broken by the abuser.

File a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) in-person or online for FREE
TPOs require the abuser to stay away from you, your family and children, your home, place of work, school, and any other location specified by the court. A TPO is valid for 30-45 days.

Stay Away from the Kitchen
where the abuser has easy access to weapons.

Stay Away from Small Spaces
like bathrooms or closets, where you can be easily trapped.

Get to a Room With a Door or Window
for easy escape.

Call or Text 24/7 Hotline

Teach Them NOT to get in the middle of a fight
even if they want to help.

Teach Them Your Escape Plan
and other important information such as your code word, how to call 911, their address, and phone number.

Teach Them Who to Call for Help
Tell them which friend or family member to call for help and how to contact them.

Inform your child’s caretakers
such as day care centers, teachers, and babysitters about WHO has permission to pick up your child.

Have You Been Strangled?
If you have been strangled, you are in DANGER and the odds of your partner doing it again are TEN TIMES higher.

Chance of Homicide
If your partner has ever put pressure on your neck, put you in a “sleeper hold” or used anything else to strangle you like a scarf, necklace, belt, rope, etc., you are 750% more likely to be murdered by that partner.
