Supporting Pregnant Survivors: Trauma-Informed Victim Services

Pregnancy can significantly increase risk and complexity for individuals experiencing abuse, creating urgent safety concerns and difficult decisions. This training equips victim service providers with trauma-informed strategies to support pregnant survivors with compassion, neutrality, and accurate information.

Led by SafeNest’s Megan Lopez, Vice President of One Safe Place.

Participants will explore the intersection of reproductive health and intimate partner violence, review options and resources available to survivors in Nevada, and learn how to navigate sensitive conversations in a way that honors survivor autonomy, safety, and dignity.

Who should attend? This event is ideal for victim service providers and professionals who work alongside survivors and are committed to strengthening their response and impact. It is especially valuable for advocates, attorneys, court personnel, law enforcement officers, healthcare providers, government and nonprofit staff, faith leaders, and community responders who play a critical role in supporting individuals and families affected by violence.

Light refreshments will be available. Attendees are welcome to bring your lunch.

Whether you’re two-stepping between stops or just raising a glass with friends, every moment supports SafeNest’s mission to end domestic and sexual violence. Come for the fun, stay for the impact—because hope starts here.

Guests ages 21+ are welcome to attend.

All cowgirls and cowboys are free to come dressed in their favorite western attire and bring their Wild West spirit for a night to remember.
